Just hard to win on the road when both teams have talent. Virginia beat Duke today at Duke and I think I heard them say after the game it was Virginia's first win at Duke in 23 years.....That's hard to believe.

I don't think Vols are inconsistent at all.  We have a tough road loss to a decent Arkansas team and a bad loss to Auburn, who under Pearl look to be the third best team in the league this season.  Which suxes as a Vol fan.

Some inconsistency yes, but IMO bama is much less consistent.

We have a tough road game against them, right after a road game against Kentucky.  But first we play Ole Miss and LSU at home, which should both be relatively easy wins.  I expect us to be 7-3 in the SEC heading into Lexington, then 7-5 when we return to play USC Junior at home.

But maybe we can steal one from Kentucky or bammer on the road...it will be huge if we can.

I wouldn't overlook Ole Miss or LSU just yet though.  They are both lower division SEC but have some good athletes.

Update...Auburn is sitting on top of the league with a 7-1 conference record.  Pretty impressive work by Pearl there.  Having said that, their schedule is quite soft so far.  Let's see how they do the rest of the way with games to go against Florida, Kentucky and a rematch with bama, who they have already lost to.  Still....I wonder how long it's been since Auburn led the SEC in basketball after more than a few games?  Barkely era?

Probably one of those Cliff Ellis teams around the turn of the century.
