I'm pretty sure that's Tyrion Lannister playing PG for UMBC.

BTW, Cinci didn't look like world-beaters today, either. If we're EVER going to the Final Four, this looks like our best chance.

But I'm trying really hard not to look that far ahead. Loyola's dangerous.

Winner of UK-Buffalo gets to play winner of KSU-UMCB.  Will be rooting hard for Buffalo.

But yeah, Loyola is a big step up from Wright State.  I think we can take them though.

Well, I'm happy I lived to finally see it happen.

And this isn't just a 16 over a 1. It's a 16 over the #1 overall. UVa was easily the best team in the country in the regular season. They were billed as perhaps the greatest defensive team of all time, and UMBC just got to the rack at will.

Still not sure I believe what I just saw.

the most amazing thing is how it happened.  I mean, teams have been close before.  yeah.  close.

so you figure a 16 beats a 1, there is a miracle shot at the end, or something like that, right?

But this was an ASS BEATING.  20 points!

How big it happened is as big a story as that it happened.

Well, I went with my heart over my head and picked the Big Damn Orange to come out of that region. So I'm good.

Just saw on twitter that this is only the 5th time ever that any 1 seed has lost a tourney game by 20 or more. The other four times they were beaten by 1 or 2 seeds.

And another thing....Virginia is the overall no. 1 seed.  So this was, by definition, no. 64 beating no. 1.  By 20 points,

Virginia fans can never talk trash in basketball again.  Ever.  It simply wont be allowed anymore.
