The way Tucker's playing, it's going to be hard to sit him when Acuna gets the call next week.

I see where they just signed Jose Bautista to a minor league contract. He will play 3B. I hope he still has some pop left at the plate.

He doesn't, unless something miraculous happens. But like the Ryan Howard experiment last year, this is a no-risk proposition. If he works out, great. If not, they cut him and move on.

Speaking of 3B, the Braves are hoping that Austin Riley is their 3B of the future. He's off to an eye-popping .408/.463/.796 start at AA. And that's with playing his home games at Trustmark Park, which is probably the most pitcher-friendly park in pro baseball. At this rate, he'll be moved to Gwinnett soon. If he continues to hit there, he could be in Atlanta by mid-season. And frankly, the Braves need him. He could be a legit cleanup guy to hit behind Freddie, who's getting nothing to hit so far and taking walks at Barry Bonds-like levels. Opponents just don't fear Markakis in that 4 spot (though to his credit, he's hitting very well so far).
