Creek, maybe you can help us here... Is this a good indicator that a sports columnist is scraping the bottom of the barrell?

I cringe when I see Adams referred to as a "Tennessee columnist" on national sites, just because he writes for the KNS. As if he's a Griffith-like cheerleader or something. I think half of Adams' columns are written for the sole purpose of embarrassing us.

John Adams desperately needs the offseason to end.

I like Adams. He's a really good writer. Sometimes I vehemently disagree with what he's saying, but that's his job -- to evoke emotion. Besides, taking away the critical voices leaves an echo chamber. I tend to not like echo chambers very much. But with that said, he's really, really been slipping the last year or two. It's almost painful to read at times. He is hanging on a little too long.

In my personal dealings with him he has been an absolute ASS!

I agree, it really wasn't that bad............if you were a fan of UF, UGA, SC, Vandy, MO, KY, bama, or LSU

How in the holy name of Neyland is 0-8 not bad?  Only in Adamsland.

Well....the column is talking about "of all 0-8 teams in SEC, Tennessee wasn't the worst".  Which, while it does seem like he is really searching for ideas, isn't at all the same as trying to somehow make last year's cluster fizzle acceptable.
