Meanwhile I'm sitting on a hard concrete curb outside the student center, bloated having just chugged a Powerade on 15 seconds lol.  Yeah you just might be more comfy at the moment.

Oh, and the shuttle from the colosseum is $10 a person now, up from $5.

Honestly, I'd like to go to more games again. But I'm 300 miles away now. So I'll just settle for going to 1-2 a year and hang around the house for the rest.

You're too young for the shuttle Vinnie. Park for free in the city garage behind the downtown movie theater.

Oh I had no problem walking, but I think Dad is about over making that walk.  Especially in early Sept.  Whew.

I had season tickets for many years....being in HS football coaching in West Tn until 1996 and having games on Friday nights I'd leave sometimes at mid-night or after and drive to my brothers house in Nashville...get 3 hours or so sleep and head to Knoxville early if it was a day game....If it was a night game I'd leave early Sat morning. Either way I'd have to be back by 5pm on Sunday's because we had film and game prep getting ready for the team we would be playing the next Friday and we usually met until 9-10 Sunday night....I did this for years and it made for long weekends and wore out come Monday morning.

In 1994 my son started playing college football and I gave up my season tickets to follow him for 4 years and I thought after he graduated I'd renew them but I never did...It became way to easy to sit my big a$$ in my recliner and watch the games and get to watch all the other games to boot....Till this day I don't miss the 665 mile round trip..the traffic...the money spent. I had great times during those years but the old I got the harder it got.

That's why we started taking the shuttle years ago.  Now that dad has passed, still easier and cheaper than parking on or near campus

I plan on going up for that one, as well as the road game at Auburn (since it's a half hour away).
