It says here that the map is TWICE as big as Origins. And Origins had the biggest map I've ever seen in a (non-driving) game.

I won't be getting it right away- I'm clearing the decks for RDR2. But I'll be looking for it in the Black Friday sales, for sure.

Any word on RDR2's map size?  Coworker told me yesterday as we watched the new gameplay trailer that the install size is 100gb.

All we've seen is the unconfirmed map that leaked a couple years ago. But if that's accurate, it looks like it takes in eastern third of the map from the last game, and adds a big area to the east of that. If it's to the same scale as the map in the first game, it will be slightly bigger, but not overwhelmingly huge by today's standards.
