Shoop's interviews were a refreshing thing during the Jones years at TN.  For once a coach who spoke truth (without getting out of line or being controversial) and knew what he was talking about.  Glad he's doing well and glad his time at TN didn't hurt his career.

Well Butch will be fine.  Even though he can't actually coach at bammer, he's getting in plenty of mental reps.   

Glad Shoop is doing so well, wish we had not squandered him.  He does mention the injuries also.  We arguably lost 3 of our 4 best defenders in 2016.

Injuries to linebackers Jalen Reeves-Maybin and Darrin Kirkland Jr. and cornerback Cameron Sutton hampered what Shoop thought was a talented unit.
