Yes OL is also an issue but we schemed around that fairly effectively.

However, we were up 21-9, that is when the defense has to step up and we didn't, they ran the ball all over us and tempo was killer.

Our S&C has been bad, and it takes a couple of years. The defense is simply not physical enough

Also speed.  Our secondary speed has improved a little and will continue to do so as we recruit, but our LB speed is far below competitive SEC levels.  Our DL, you nailed it, S&C deficient.  Our tackling is still substandard.  And the main problem, depth-anyone who continues to pound us is gonna wear us out.  We can be competitive to a point until we simply run out of gas.  S&C will help, but gotta have fresh bodies every now and again.

We played TK Saturday, our slowest DB but he was in the right place and made tackles - just about the only one in the secondary.

Muschamp and staff did a good job adjusting to our dink and dunk passing game the 2nd half shutting it down. That was a good adjustment by them.

Only so much you can do. I thought our playcalling was great on offense, especially the first half. You're up 21-9, it's on the D to hold.

Probably should have taken some more deep shots the 2nd half to back them off some....Only thing I thought Helton dropped the ball on the whole game.

They had the deep shots covered pretty well, were waiting on them it seems.  Thats why dink and dunk worked.  Dink and dunk might have kept working but JG overthrew Palmer at least twice in the second half on plays that likely go for first downs.

Maybe they should have tried some seam routes up the middle with a TE to mix it up.  The deep ball was covered well.

Deep ball were covered a lot better the 1st half before they adjusted the 2nd half when we should have started going deeper. We never tried to work the middle of the field. We played into their hands more the 2nd half.

Agree that we could or should have worked the middle more, particularly with JJ.  The man is a warrior over the middle and we should use him more.
