I wouldn't hire him. But it's Pruitt's ass on the line, not mine. At this point, I just want it to be done. So whatever.

Don't know why he'd be o.k., but Freeze wouldn't. We could probably do worse coaching -wise than K. Briles.

Other than Schiano, I try my best not to judge personal behavior, others are far more suited to that task than I am.  I would have been fine with Freeze from a football standpoint, but I think Briles would be the walk-off home run.

Once again most of us, especially me, forget that UT is not the revered job or destination it used to be. The main thing we have going for us is that it's an SEC school. The worst thing we have going for us is that we are an SEC school. And play Bama and UGa every year.

Losing to Vandy doesn't help

He wasn't implicated in any wrongdoing at Baylor.

Freeze on the other hand......

THIS!

If I remember correctly he was initially retained following the debacle

According to this he wants to bring his own OL coach and Pruitt likes his own.

That article mentions Freddy Kitchens.  How ironic woudl that be, after all the talk about Peyton coming back.  That would be pretty funny.

I also saw a rumor the other day (on twitter, so you KNOW it's true) that we were talking to Jim Chaney about coming back. But the hangup was that he insisted on bringing Sam Pittman back with him.

And that's a "hangup" HOW?

I am not sure how long Jim Chaney will live. Have you seen him? He is a massive heart attack waiting to happen

Well...maybe.  I mean Fulmer is still around, right?

BDV...the hangup may be that supposedly Pruitt wants to keep Friend. I am not sure why.  Friend may be a great OL coach but it sure didn't show up this past season.

Fulmer is skinny compared to Chaney
