challenging for the SEC title and a deep run in the NCAA tourney. Should it be expected? Why or why not.

Personally, I am so glad to have Barnes back at UT.  Whether he ever gets to the Final Four or wins a NC here, I think that he has the ability to build this program into the kind of program that can become sustainable at a high level - and can then eventually make it to the finals of the tournament.  If he can succeed in doing that, I think that the salary increase is justified.

With the recent salary increase, we should make the tourney every year with a decent chance to advance and also challenge for the SECC, both regular season and tourney.  Some years will be better than others.
