They came up a little short.

If they play like that the rest of the way, they could win more than expected.

Can't fault the fight and effort. Just got to get more production out of some...JJJ for one.

Yes, was happy with the effort.  Team continues to show improvement, especially Fulkerson and Pons.

I was very pleasantly surprised. I didn't expect us to be competitive with them at their place. I could enjoy watching them play like that the remainder of the season.

I have a renter/customer who is a Jayhawk alum. He told me good coaches contend year after year. He said "typical Barnes". Great one year. Average the next. He was like that in the Big 12. He added, "He didn't leave Texas because he was dominating the Big 12. I told him the SEC is a different animal. I also reminded him a lot of blue blood programs are average this year. I still have a hard time grasping the fact that the SEC struggles in basketball compared to other football conferences like the BIG.  The BIG is brutal every year in basketball. Why is the SEC so up and down?  Are the midwest/northern players that much better or just more plentiful. I can't believe Atlanta and Memphis can't produce enough prospects to keep a few southern teams loaded. Another problem is the one and done. Hopefully the new rules help that situation.
