I guess it slipped by me without me seeing the headline, but I didn't realize until I was reading a covid-19 update on UT's website just now that I realized the SEC had barred coaches from making off-campus recruiting visits, or from hosting recruits for on-campus visits. This essentially means that recruiting is on hold (except for telephone calls and letters). I hope every other major conference is doing the same or the SEC will be at a significant disadvantage!

It'll be a moot point now because the NCAA has issued similar guidelines for all schools through April 15.

THANK YOU!  for spelling "moot" correctly.  So many spell it "mute", which, while it kind of makes sense, is wrong.

I bet if you look at the new NCAA guidelines there would be a * at the bottom that reads:

These guidelines do not pertain to Alabama.
