5.1 earthquake reported around Sparta NC....Strongest quake to hit NC in 94 years in 1926. Said it was felt as far North as Washington DC and down to Atlanta.

You bet I felt it.  Was at my desk in my home office and at exactly 8:08am the house shook.  I'm 10 min from the NC border.

I didn't feel it but others here in Greenville, SC did. Of course, I was asleep. An earthquake would have had to throw me out of bed in order for me to notice it.
