He was quite the mathematical and astrological pioneer.

50 years old, so he can coach another 20 years or more. Successful rebuild at a P5 program. No big name P5 alma mater to ever “call him home”. Experience as an assistant in the SEC. No record of improprieties. His players love him.

We could do a lot worse.

I just wish we'd snagged Peyton Ramsey this year.

Near the top of my list. They say he fosters a great locker room atmosphere.

On the down side...he got beat by Pruitts Vols. The Buckeyes played about as bad a game as they could possibly play and still beat Indiana. This crap happens all the time. A coach has one good year and now he is Rockne. Let him win a BIG title before anointing him. That would mean something. Last year it was the Minnesota coach. How's he doing consistency wise? Same with Freeze. He beat Bama twice. That's all he did. Still wasn't good enough to win an SECw or SEC title. Plus came close to getting them the death penalty. Overall, Cutcliffe did better during his Eli years without the probation.

So Saban or Dabo or bust, then. Maybe Lincoln Reilly?

You want someone who consistently wins P5 conference titles, those are your choices. Good luck.

I still feel if Fulmer can win at UT anyone can. He wasn't a great coach. He usually out talented most of his opponents. Same with Jones. He was not a good coach, he just had more talent, but wasted most of it. Now we don't have a coach and our talent is probably over-rated. That's why we lose to UK, Arky and Auburn. All the teams we have to beat to be in a SECcg (UGa, UF and Bama) have way more talent than we do right now. Especially at QB. And better coaching. Why are a lot of you surprised by the results we are seeing?
