The star of the play was veteran defensive back Smoke Monday. Monday talked about the play in the post-game, and according to him, it was pretty easy to setup.

Monday said, "One of those quarterbacks who loved to stare his receivers down ... He wasn’t doing a good job of looking us off tonight, so I tilted away and came back late.”

If I’m not mistaken, the pass to Smoke was the only pass that JG completed where the football was actually thrown more than 10 yards downfield?

disagree with the term “thrown”
It was more like a lob

Dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they
May act their dream with open eyes, to make it Possible.
This I did.

Makes it even more impressive that he called the play himself.

Pruitt said in his presser today that JG threw it too late....it was a RPO and should have come out quick.....Hell Coach Gump, JG has been throwing late for 4 damn years and you are the one trotting him back out there year after year.
