I'm pretty happy with this. I'd wager a good amount of greenbacks that Pruitt will regret it later though....

I don't know, the amount of pay is hellishly low for a head coach

It's called $5Mil in buyout from Auburn
They pay him just enough to allow him to pocket the Auburn $$ and we save the $$ for other staff
He's making > than Cheney's salary
win/win

That would be sweet if true, and even better if Pruitt is dismissed for cause

Just remember Pruitt was a "hot" DC when he got this UT job.  Is Steele going to be any different if Pruitt goes? What part of hire a proven head coach do the Vols not understand? If the Vols hire a new head coach, what happens if he doesn't want Steele as the DC?

volsboy is a bot, but I have found his algorithm

1. Undo belt
2. Sit on toilet
3. shizzle all over anything orange

What a sorry algorithm!  The designer could have done a lot better IMO

Rocker hired at AU for DL coach. I originally thought Steele would bring his DB coach but it now may be his old DL coach in Rodney Garner.

Side note. SC being first to get rid of their coach is not working out too well. Beamer has lost 3 coaches to AU, a highly rated QB, and looks to be struggling to fill his staff with this new CEO as a HC approach.

Yep...Ole Beamer having issues. The 5 star 2022 QB commit that de-committed might be hardest to take of them all for USC fans....He'll probably wind up at Auburn too.

Just honest. Is Steel the answer? If they fire Pruitt will he step up to HC? If Pruitt stays, I see him and Steele bumping heads. Do you really want two defensive oriented coaches running things?  We are offensively challenged.

he is like every new coach. he may be the answer and he may not be. probably plus 75% of them are not the answer.

That's for sure. Everyone thought Kelly was a great coach at Oregon. He had great talent there. He's not been too impressive at UCLA. He also wasted a lot of talent when he was at Philly too. So even a so called proven coach is no guarantee. But I still favor an experienced coach from a P5 school over the next big thing from someplace like Charleston.
