Goodness sakes, that is a monster.  That is going to look incredible during night games.

BTW, UF is installing two new boards.. one bigger than the other..   and ours is still bigger than both.

UF needs big jumbotrons.  I've sat in the very front row there on two separate occasions.  Those are simultaniously the best and worst seats in the house.  You're close enough to the players that you can reach out and touch them, and listen in as they're getting coached- no stadium gets you closer. But you can't see a damn bit of the game from that vantage point.  My view was blocked by several 300 lb linemen for most of the night, and the jumbotron became a necessity for me.

nice....but after dropping big bucks on the jumbo you'd think the Athl. Dept. could spring for a gallon of paint to cover the rust on neyland.

So was this post designed to provide another viewpoint not through Orange glasses like all your others?

Steel rusts, and they paint it often. Your question was not an innocent question, it was designed to incite.

In your eyes all you see is the Great Neyland Stadium. It is one of the country's best college football venues. Not to mention the SEC. When I looked at the pics of the jumbotron the rusting steel structure kinda jumps out at you. I was shocked you let it get to that stage. Just saying....you represent the SEC......we'd appreicate it if you'd spruce it up every now and again.  With LK's recent spending spree...... I wouldn't be surprised the UT maintenance dept is checking up a little short these days!

I'm tired of you lecturing us about what we see through our eyes. Let's not act like you see Georgia with any objectivity.

In the pics, everything that you see that has brown spots is concrete, not steel. I don't know exactly what it is (probably rust stains from water drainage away from the steel), but I've been to Sanford, and I don't recall the concrete being pristine.

I have a long memory of your many missteps here in the past, and I'm getting tired of you being here. It is obvious that you enjoy poking the hornet's nest.

This WR that also has a UGa offer seems to be OK with our rundown stadium.

Quote
Cobbs impressed, extends stay
Austin Price, VolQuest.com staff writer

Tulsa, Oklahoma wide receiver DeMarco Cobbs is down to six schools. Tennessee, Oklahoma, Alabama, Georgia, LSU and Florida all have equal opportunity to land the talented Sooner state athlete. He was in Knoxville over the weekend and walked away with all smiles.

"The visit was awesome," Cobbs said. "I really enjoyed myself. I got to see how the coaches were in practice and there was a lot of energy in practice. They go hard like it was a game and that's what I like. The players got a swag about them."

Before he made it to campus, Cobbs told Volquest.com that he planned on spending quality time with Tennessee's wide receivers coach Frank Wilson. He accomplished that goal and got to see what Wilson is like in an every day football situation.

"I got to set down in the meeting room and see how coach Wilson interacts and coaches his group," Cobbs said. "I got to see what it would be like if I came to Tennessee. He was real energetic and you can see why the players respond to him."

The highlight of his visit was a trip down to Neyland Stadium, where he took in the Vols first scrimmage of Fall camp.

"The stadium, wow!," Cobbs said. "It was awesome to get to see them scrimmage in there. They were working on the jumbotron while I was there. It's state of the art. It was really cool."

Cobbs said that Tennessee, LSU and Alabama are slightly ahead of Georgia, Florida and Oklahoma. But where do the Vols really stand and will they get a return visit from Cobbs this Fall?

"Tennessee is definitely one of my favorites," Cobbs said. "Before I visited them, they were one of my favorites. There is a tradition of Oklahoma players at Tennessee. Oklahoma is representing at Tennessee. I'm going to definitely take an official visit. I was supposed to leave at 5:15, but I enjoyed it so much that I didn't want to leave and decided to stay an extra night."

Cobbs returns home on Sunday to evaluate his recruitment and decide where he'll go from here.

Rivals.com ranks Cobbs as a 4-star athlete in the class of 2010.

1st of all I never said Neyland was rundown. Secondly, the great state of Georgia is full of talented athletes and produces around 100 D-1 prospects yearly. There is no way UGA can sign them all. Richt does a good job targeting the top 25. Kiffin would be smart (the billboards are kinda corny, but i understand the strategy) to concentrate his recruiting efforts there. For some reason Fulmer did not have much success signing players out of Georgia over the last 8 years....probably due to Richt "closing the borders". And i think Tenn suffered for it. If I recall correctly your 98 team had no less than 4 starters from our state.
UGA is down to it's last few scholarships and I'm assuming we will sign one more WR. I know we're recruiting Chris Dunkley pretty hard. Tenn seems like the best fit for Cobb at least between our schools. He might find PT difficult behind Green and freshman named Marlon Brown......who apparently has been looking good in camp.

Case in point of what I posted in the other thread.  Your sole purpose is to incite and inflame.  You don't add anything to the discussion.  Take it somewhere where they give a damn.

ROFL! You spent that much time on that post, and the kid in question isn't even from Georgia... He's the #1 player from the state of Oklahoma, and he has a UGa offer.

Mostly because your posts incite it... we call that "baiting".

For example, your sig is flame bait.
