...a top 4 seed and a double-bye in the SECT.  Not sure how he arrived at that conclusion given how bunched-up the league is right now, but I guess I'll take his word for it.  Great news if true.

We clinch a bye because we have the tiebreaker against both the crocs and the winnycats

Yeah, but they are just two of the six teams in a tie immediately behind us- three of which hold the head-to-head over us, with another (MSU) still to be played.  I have no idea how to unravel all those tiebreakers at this point, so I'll just trust in Griffith and hope he's right.

He isn't the only source

In addition at least 2 and possibly 3 teams eliminate themselves today (losers of KY/MO and Ark/bamer) and most likely the crocs after they lose to the pick-a-nicknames.
We can eliminate MSU Tuesday night.

If Mizzou beats UK tonight, there will still be potentially three teams in the running that win the tiebreaker with us...Arkansas, Mizzou, and Miss State.  we would have to drop our last two (which would give MSU the tie break) and they would all have to win out.   I think UK handles Mizzou and Arkansas still has to play Auburn.

But the reason it's a clinch is because Arkansas and Mizzou play each other next week, so one will lose no matter what.

One more win and we lock down the no. 2 seed.

MSU is 18-1 at home this season, with their only loss coming to Auburn.  Beating them down there will be a tall order.

BDV, update after yesterday's games:
There are 4 teams at 9-7
Only 2 of which could finish ahead of us: Hawgs & MSU
We own the tie breaker over the other 2: crocs & whinycats

Scenarios:
As long as we split the final 2 games we finish  2nd
If we lose both, probably finish 3rd
Win both (& pick-a-nicknames lose both) we finish 1st
