His completion % isn't good, TD to INT ratio is very good. Competition is always good, forces everyone to step up their game. I thought Jarret looked much better at the end of the season, it appeared to me that the thing hurting us most in the passing game was lack of protection and WRs not getting free. Hopefully Pruitt gets the line playing better where our QB isn't instantly under pressure and teaches our WRs how to get separation. I feel like this staff can, and will, coach the players to a high level of execution.

This helps in the depth department.....I'd hope he doesn't come in and play right off because this coming season is going to be a uphill battle to get to a .500 record, IMO. I'd much rather play a QB that's going to be here 2-3 more years.

If Gitmo would just learn to throw the dam ball and not hold on to it so much, he'd be much better IMO.

I'm not sure there is any air left in the dam ball he holds on to it so tight

Part of that was that no receiver was open, thus nowhere to throw the bll
Another part is that he sets up and the porous OL already had allowed 1+ DLs in his face

And when both those situations occurred he was greatly reluctant to just throw the dam thing away. Kept trying to scramble and or make a play and it usually didn't work. IMO a good many of the sacks were his fault.

I'm far from the only person to note this tendency, FTR.

I expect Chryst will win the job and be your starting QB this year.  Gives UT a good shot to win 7 games.   The OL will limit UT's chances to do better.

Word is Pruitt might be bringing up to 4 more graduate transfer and the word is they all will be offensive linemen. Pruitt knows we need major help on the OL.

Especially if Trey Smith is gone. As bad as we were on the OL last year, imagine that same group without Smith. Scary.

Dude!  I hope that's true. We sure need them.

I never thought of this before...if a player has eligibility left and graduates, bring him on in with a graduate schollie.  Great idea!

Although you might think that if they were any good, they'd still be on their old teams.

But whatever, our OL needs help.  Can't be all bad.
