I know Trey Teague and not making excuses and I don't agree with what he said at all but just a little back story. Trey and Butch became pretty close in the process of recruiting Trey Smith....Teague was big factor in helping in the recruitment of Smith.

Fans can form their own opinions independent of what some media person says.  I certainly do.

I did listen to that.  I think I expected a lot more vitriol from Swain based on the OP.

Yeah I don't particularly care for an individual, former player or not, saying someone else is "less of a fan" just because they see things differently.

Still, some local media members are super annoying.

As much as he hyped it on Twitter, I didn't bother to read it

I thought he did a very solid job. He didn't go crazy, but didn't back down. The fact he gave Butch credit for doing some things well added credibility to his remarks.

My take also.  The only push back I have is where he criticized Trey Teague.  Trey has his opinion, and it's just as valid as Swain's, and Trey does speak for a significant part of the fanbase.

I'm not including everyone who is sick of Jones, but I am including the segment that whines no matter what.  We could go 11-1 and win the SECC and they would complain that it wasn't by enough points.  Or we could win 3 NCs in a row and go 10-2 the next year and they would call for a new coach.

Okay...I exagerate a bit.  But some of this idjuts actually were really excited just because Kiffin got a couple hot recruits...something Fulmer did literally dozens of times.  These were the idjuts that wanted Fulmer gone in 2005 and were very critical of him prior to that.  These were the idjuts, in short, that ran Fulmer off in a way and (IMO) too soon that led to our downfall.  And actually thought Kiffin was an upgrade without him coaching a single game in college, and after Al Davis fired him in his first season and called him a liar.  (I mean....seriously! Al Davis called him out!  Al Davis.  WTF is wrong with people?)

And I will target those idjuts, repeatedly, and mercilessly, because they don't know jack shizzle about football and can ruin a program.
