Like the effort, but in a big game could that be a penalty? It's almost like a coach may have hounded him about finishing the play, and he went way overboard driving the guy to the wall  I prefer maximum effort through the whistle

We didn't go as crazy in the portal as a lot of teams, and Thornton is probably our only transfer who came in with any "star power". But it appears that ALL of our transfers are going to contribute a lot this year. Speaks well for the evaluation prowess of this staff.

What?s the penalty?  Excessive blocking?

Pretty sure of seen penalties for continued play (hitting/blocking/tackling) after the whistle. It was a great hustle play. Loved the effort!

The fact that he continued the play out of baounds may well have led to a penalty IMO, but it did not. He may have gotten lucky.


Having said that, I absolutely love the play, and I'm glad he did it.
