I had no trick-or-treaters.

We only had a few dozen which is way down from our usual couple of hundred. Wasn't thnking about the home game tonight and the very cold weather. The bad news is way have WAY too much candy left over but on the plus side is we have way too much candy left over.

The neighbors next to us do it up big with decorations, eerie music with speakers, and their teenage sons dressed up as the monster Jason chasing people while roaming their yard. Last year they even had a real hearse. We therefore get plenty of kids and parents. The neighbors give out two to three hundred dollars worth of candy. It's that big a deal.

Got to take our twin grandchildren out in a wagon in the neighborhood for their first Halloween. They just turned one and loved the ride while seeing all the people. He was the Cookie Monster complete with lights on part of his head, and she was a bumblebee.

We weren't home all night, but we didn't have any, either, and with no surprise given the hurricane like storm that came through.

We went with our daughter to take our older grandson, Miller, to an event at a local Church.  He is 16 months old and had an absolute blast.

And the older grandson, Miller, as a mean looking Darth Vader.

I rushed after work to buy some candy, then decided to go see "Nightcrawler" with a lady friend on short notice.  So I was home 15 minutes and had three trick or treaters.  Just got a taste of it, I guess.

We had way less than we've ever had in the 12 years we've lived here. They usually come down the street with hay wagons loaded with kids. I guess with the cold front that came through early in the day and the temps at sundown were in the 30's with 25 winds out of the north had something to do with it.
