"I think if he ends up anywhere it may be the University of Tennessee. I don't see an NFL job that would appeal to him. I think the Tennessee job may be where he ends up."

Please stop toying with my emotions.

I'm scared Hart is going to keep Dooley.

yeah, just saw that, looks like there's still hope. That is of course, if Gruden decides to get back into coaching. This is from a pretty credible source. I don't know who our next coach is going to be but I do feel certain that Dooley is.....out of here!

The theory I've seen is that Gruden has agreed in principle, but that the noise got out much sooner than they wanted it to.

I've also seen speculation that Gruden will be announced on Dec. 17th.

Well Merry Christmas, Vol Nation!  While we're at it, maybe I should go ahead and put some other things on my list.

December 17 is too long to wait. I don't think that's the plan, and if it is it's not a good one. You can't leave the ship rudderless that long.

Could you imagine the buildup on ESPN if Tennessee goes to the Compass Bowl in Birmingham with an interim Coach and newly named Head Coach John Gruden was at the game?

Or Cleveland.  Jimmy Haslam won't be outbid.

Probably depends on how much Gruden likes cheesesteaks.
