The lack of holding calls on their O line was appalling. UT played great, I thought, especially given the fact that 1/2 the team experienced their first road college game. There is hope there that this team is on the rise.

As a UT fan by proximity, I hope they do well this year. Gonna be a tough one, though, especially adding OK to an already brutal schedule. I think Butch can coach the guys up, and get to a 7-5 season, which would be good given the schedule. I think the five losses will be Oklahoma, Georgia, Ole Miss, Alabama and South Carolina. And even with that, I think you guys have a shot at UGA and Ole Miss.
Good luck. I hope Butch is the one to get y'all back on top and back to beating bammer many years in a row. War Damn Vols!

Dad is in the final stretch. It will be a rough week but hopefully by the end of the week dad will be at peace. He has fought a hard and long battle but it is time to rest
I probably will not be on much this week.
Hate to hear this, OJ. You and your family are in my prayers and thoughts. Tough, tough time.

Gonna be nice by the looks of it.
I for one am glad they are moving it out of downtown ATL. I do like The Ted, but I think it'll be nice having the stadium in a location that actually has other places around it that you wouldn't mind being in after dark. I do wonder, however, what the parking situation and traffic will be like. I can't imagine how they will avoid having the severe congestion that that area already has.

We're behind you 100%. Beat them Wolverines and make a coat with their pelts.
Yed. Beat the Wolverines and stomp their eggs. WWFDT. And all the usuals. Good luck!

I'm guessing they'll arrive in Raleigh at about 4-5 AM, and the game on Friday is an early afternoon tip.
Well, I'm already in Raleigh, so I think I'll mosey on over and watch them play UMass on Friday. I'll even root for them. My way of saying thanks for letting us get Pearl. Maybe Vinnie will like me then.

I can say without hesitation that you mean no ill will. Nobody with such a good looking wife could possibly be a bad guy. How is the family liking Knoxville? Georgia fans - they suxes. Ha. Thanks, BTV. Family is loving Knoxville. I think we have found our routine in Farragut. And the people are great. Though Farragut is made up of a bunch of stinking Yankees.

If I had seats, no fizzleing way I'm giving them to a visiting fan. Even one as friendly as you. I once sold my tickets to a Kentucky vs. UT game via Craigslist, and I made the guy pass a quiz that only a UT alum could pass before I'd sell them to him. Not only did he pass, but he was thankful I made him take it. Maybe you can convince Vinnie I mean no ill will. Or maybe not. Either way, I understand. I about got into it with a UGA guy one time at Athens when I would not sell him my two extra tix to the football game, then sold them to an Aubie fan right in front of him for cheaper than what the Dawg fan was offering.

No one...certainly not Auburn, will worry about this show cause. Schools want a winner, and Bruce Pearl can flat out coach. The only reason Auburn will not get Pearl is if he is not interested in coaching there.
I'll be the first to say that BP can do a loooooot better than Auburn. And you are right. Schools will want a proven winner, even if it means losing a few months on the recruiting trail. BP is one of those rare finds that can coach good and bring enthusiasm to fanbase. Any school wishing to resurrect their hoops program would be stupid not to look at BP. I would certainly love it if Auburn was able to trick him....er, get him to come to the Plains. But I don't see it happening.

Pearl with get mentioned with every open job for the next several months. He will be talked about more than Gruden when a college football job opens up. Well, I did hear Pearl lives on owns has looked at thought about a farm somewhere close to AL one time, so there's that.

I won't copy and paste, but based on some things Hubbs is saying, barring a miraculous run, CCM will likely be let go. Hart is not likely to invest in him through 2016, and he certainly wouldn't bring him back for one more year.
I'd say the chances we have a new coach next year are very high. Likely not Pearl, but we can hope.
Well, at least he has the support from Stallings down the road. And Stallings goes further and calls you guys that want Martin gone, and I quote, "Idiots!". So, there you go. http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/10531403/kevin-stallings-vanderbilt-commodores-says-want-tennessee-volunteers-fire-cuonzo-martin-idiots

My oldest just joined the Army today! He's going to the Fort Benning School for Boys and becoming an Infantryman this summer, then on to Airborne school. I'm pretty positive that he will go to Fort Bragg afterwards. I'm really proud of him, he had to fight through a lot of issues to get to this point, but he was determined to get it done. Congrats, Dad! Awesome news.

As I recall you are in the Cedar Bluff area, correct?
There is a place at the Hardin Valley exit off of Pellissippi Parkway called Double Dogs. They have about a million big screens and I'm sure each of them will be tuned to the NCG. The menu is good - I like their wings, and as they name might suggest they have many varieties of hot dogs, along with other burger and sandwich options. Good selection of craft and domestic beers.
I enjoy going there. Nice atmosphere, and there will be people of all ages watching. Usually fans from a lot of different schools there, too.
In Farragut, but close enough to that exit. I had forgotten about that place. Been there for lunch and liked the food. May have to try it out.

I've been wanting to try Skybox as well. If anyone goes, give a report. Kthx!
Well, I may be intrigued enough to go and try it out for the game. There doesn't seem to be anything good on the West side; all other recs that I've been given were the standard Buffalo Wild Wings type of places. Has anyone been to Doc's on Kingston Pike? That was another one I heard about.

...have any good suggestions for where to watch the BCS Championship Game? For the two years that I have now been here, I haven't really ventured out to watch any games anywhere. I think I may Monday night, but not sure where to go. West Knoxville would be preferable.
Thanks for any ideas!
