Title: Late Officiating in UNC/Arkansas game
Post by: JeffCountyVolFan on March 20, 2017, 02:30:50 EDT
First of all, the officials confer and change the call on the floor before going to replay (official ruled the shot tipped but the group changed that before review). That is important because now video evidence must be irrefutable that there was a tip, not that there wasn't. Result: UNC ball.

Next possession is a UNC travel, or charge, whichever you like, that wasn't called. Result: UNC bucket.

I'm nowhere near impartial on this because I absolutely hate UNC basketball. That sequence, though, was really bad. It was also game changing.

Yeah there was that too.  IIRC the Heels were only whistled for five fouls in the 2nd half.

UNC basketball is an NCAA cash cow.

I could get on my soap box about NCAA violations and such, but I'm gonna just watch more basketball.

And BTW, Oregon got a few calls down the stretch against RI, imo.
