Title: SEC may be eliminating the divisions............
Post by: droner on November 17, 2022, 10:29:11 EST
This was my idea almost 25 years ago when we had the 2nd best record in the SEC but it was also the 2nd best record in the SEC East because we would lose to Florida.

If we had 3 permanent opponents and 6 rotating ones, what would the 3 be?  I guess if you follow traditional rivals, it would clearly be Bama, UK, and Vandy.  I don't know if the rest of the conf would allow that  :dielaughing:

There may be teams who actually have more than three traditional opponents (rivalries). I can't really think of any for Tennessee unless  you want to count Florida. Is three an arbitrary pick? I know the plan is pods but I'm not sure how that is projected to work.

The 3 stated most often by those "in the know" are bamer,
blue kitties and candy

From what I’ve read, no divisions and no pods.

I approve this message. BTW, I saw an Arkansas fan say they'd probably get stuck with UGA and Bama. Folks reminded him Auburn and UT already do.
