If Shy Tuttle’s injury from his “incident” at practice is as bad as I’m hearing, he won’t be playing football any more this season...at least.  I really hope it isn’t that bad. Seems like this thing is going to hell on a hand basket.

At this point, I just go into every game assuming that all 22 starters are hurt and won't play.  That way, I'm never disappointed.

Sounds like this situation could be downright ugly.

I've heard that too.....Don't know if true. We have players that could get hurt standing in the lunch line at the training table.

I think the fight part is true. But I'm hearing the injury is more severe than a broken hand. Like I said, I haven't confirmed and I hope that's wrong.

How severe & was it with a teammate? Then the wheels are already off.

Which teammate?

Hoping it's an urban legend.

found it

Coach Butch Jones said senior offensive lineman Jashon Robertson and junior defensive tackle Shy Tuttle sat out the Vols’ 17-13 win over the Minutemen at Neyland Stadium with “undisclosed injuries,” and they “fully anticipate” that both will “be back net week.”

I'm reading into the context of the above comments that some might feel Tuttle is going to quit?

Butch said they would be back. Of course, you can't really put any stock in that.

my take....the fight sounds real.  Is anyone surprised an OL and DL would fight?  I'm not!

that Tuttle will never return sounds more like an urban legend to me.  We will see.

Having said that, my impression is that his injury from earlier this year has not fully healed and my guess is that it will remain an issue all through the year.

That's what the Vols need!  They need to get mean and nasty again. They sure as hell are not showing
any attitude on the playing field.

We knew we were getting better when at practice we had some players go at each other..
