Griffiss was closed but the Rome Air Development Center (one of the AF labs) was still in business. I unfortunately have been there several times for various activities. RADC has/had several sites around the area (near Ava and Dexter to the North and this one to the the SW of Rome).Title: Re: Peyton to return for his senior season! I was in high school American government class. Our teacher didn't have the radio on but a buddy and I were sharing Walkman headphones in the back of the room. I let out my own version of the Rocky Top Woo when he made the announcement and nearly got a visit to detention for interrupting the lecture. But then the principal used the intercom to announce that Peyton was staying at UT and I was off the hook. :biggrin: |
