.........up a day to have the championship game on Saturday like the ACC?

If the committee is almost completing the brackets before Sunday, why not move it?

Would it matter? The underlying message I got from the Selection Committee's choices is that the Saturday games didn't matter, either.

Per the committee, nothing we did the last four weeks mattered

This. Our win over UK clearly wasn't factored.

Conference tournament games only matter if the committee wants them to matter - that's the message, I think. When they are played is irrelevant, imo.

I like the Sunday championship game, but I can see advantages to moving it up one day.

Ultimately, like almost everything else, won't it just come down to money ($$$$$)?

That's really not relevant to the discussion, imo. Richmond or Va Tech games were only relevant because the committee was forced to incorporate their results.  Winning the conference tourney is irrelevant to which day the finals are held.

Yes!  What everyone is saying is that "other than the winners who would not get in otherwise", tourneys seem meaningless.

Try to keep up Volsboy!  This is NOT rocket science.
