The 2nd song is The Ecstacy of GoldThe fraud that used to be our football coch did one thing right. After our close loss to uga (Alton fumbled the ball out of the endzone in OT) during the game next week he played up the fans to this song.

That's really cool. "Ecstasy of Gold" is probably my favorite original movie score ever. Of course, I kept waiting for Metallica to come out at the end...

Vinnie got me to listening to various orchestra tracks of Ecstasy of Gold and then Metallica's version, which was surprisingly good (Live performance, cool to hear the audience do the vocal chords) Now off to (a much delayed bed time)

Great orchestration - BTW, both tracks have some really cool Oboe sections Sarah Hicks is a minimalist conductor, like her style

They've taken the stage to the original version (complete with the cemetery scene on the bigscreen) for years. I think their cover was sort of a tribute.

I also recently saw a PBS special of the Foo Fighters live at The Acropolis. I'm surprised they allow such events in historic places like that.
