Would you want the Offensive Coordinator coaching the rest of the season?

At this point, I think a bent shizzle can could adequately replace Dooley.  :bawl:

I think the AD Dave Hart could coach them and not get much different results

Petrino, Strong, Briles and Tuberville are the guys to watch. I'd go in that order. This is a MUCH better gig than when we went shopping both times post Fulmer. There's decent talent and no NCAA lurking.

I think Tennessee could get Strong from Louisville. I don't think Louisville could outbid UT

A lot of Auburn Fans say Auburn has talked to Petrino in the past. Petrino may be the next Auburn Coach. I think Tennessee could wind up with Charlie Strong, who would be a great pick

Do NOT hire Petrino!

Dont worry if Petrino is hired TN fans will burn Dave Hart's bed with him in it!!!

I think we should hire a coach that knows how to win games and has been successful at the next level.....

Strong does nothing for me.  That he's winning in a defacto D-2 league proves nothing.

I want to win. Petrino  is no brainer sure-fire winner. If I was looking for a Sunday School teacher I wouldn't touch the guy, but I'm not. He hasn't had NCAA problems, he's just sleazy off the field. While I don't like that I've worked with plenty of folks who were the same way.

That having been said Charlie Strong seems a) affordable and b) a sure thing.

EDIT: Strong has been a championship coordinator and has head coaching experience. His resume is really good.

I just know I am sick of this mess. I hate changing coaches but it is gonna have to be done. We will lose players to the draft and we will lose players to attrition and we will start all over again with short numbers.    :hurl: :hurl:

It is not Dooley's fault what he inherited but we should be better than we are this year. Not conference champions better but we should not be sucking this bad on defense. I know that everyone gives AJ Johnson high marks for LB play but he just looks too slow to me or they have him doing things he shouldn't be. Lathers, well I appreciate his desire and perseverance but any skills he had are gone due to injuries. The young db's have some skill but we are weak there too. Rb issues are well noted. We have better players and we are some better but it isnt enough. They will have to turn it on and play out of  their minds the rest of year just to make a bad bowl game.

At least until Petrino started winning, then you couldn't get him out with Dynamite. Oh wait, if he won we wouldn't want to get rid of him. :dcool: Strong seems like a "strong" candidate, Gruden a long shot. But, who knows what UT might reel in if they offered Saban like money.

This is obviously the solution.  It worked so well last time.

My suggestion...hold out another year or two for things to finish unraveling at USC and Kiff will be available again.  Bring em back!  He's great!

So much better than Fulmer.

I can't believe anyone would think it is a good idea to hire Petrino. You guys should really think about Chizik. He's a proven winner, too, and even has a MNC under his belt.

At least he has head coaching experience unlike the guy I bet we hire, Kirby Smart.

And I STILL want Muschamp.
