I hope he wins the freakin' SEC championship next year and for the next 10 years. But I wouldn't call Strong a "top shelf" hire. I'm not disappointed in him, but then it was hard for me to put any one of the top three higher than the others. Top shelf hire, IMO, would've been a Gruden or a Stoops or someone like that. Strong, Gundy and Fedora would've all been top 2nd tier hires: not the homerun that everybody wanted but a helluva lot better than a Golden or, even worse, another Dooley. |
