He looks more athletic, confident, and is shooting the ball well. He has always been a good defender, but if we can get this kind of offensive consistency from him, it will go a long way this season. Right now we're getting consistent offense from him, Mcrae, and Barton. When Stokes and Maymon join the party, this team will be really good.

They have to learn to play together again. When Maymon got hurt before Stokes was lost. He learned how to play without him last year. This year he has to learn to play with him again. Maymon has to get back in the groove as well. He may get back to old self or he may not. Only time will tell on that .
Guard play should be improved.

We are not a final 4 team by any means but we should make the dance and win 1 game at least. The last couple years teams with really good bigs or better than average guard play have killed us. This year our biggest flaw will be playing teams with a good big guy. Our bigs still play below the rim.

Our bigs are not going to be above the rim guys. They're both 6'7-6'8 bangers. Good rebounders, physical players, but they will miss their share of inside shots because they're not athletic freaks. They will also have trouble guarding 6'10 power forwards

Watching the highlights of the game I have to say our freshman pg is smooth as silk. He never looks out of control or rushed. He plays calm. Will be interesting to see how he responds to an aggressive defender. Between him and Barton our pg play should be vastly improved. Richardson became a good mid range shooter last year, if he can improve his 3 ball it helps us a lot, as you noted.
