I'm too old for this stuff.

But they are winners. Movin' on up.

Wish I could have seen.  I bet crowd went nuts over that 3-2 last strike out.

That was stressful, but a terrific weekend. Lawson had a rough time, Russell only played 10 innings, and our arms are fresh for the Super.

It's hard to ask for more.

Special, special team.  Special stuff.  Easy for me to say “that was fun!” now that we won.

This was not our best game. We left way too many runs on base. We were too impatient at the plate a lot of times tonight (their starter tonight threw a really good game).

The freshmen pitchers looked like freshmen in this regional - we need them to throw like they did all season.

Having said all that and gotten it off my chest, I love watching this team. They are exciting and are never out of it, it seems. TV made some great moves in the 9th inning lineup. They just win.

56 wins. Amazing.

Go VOLS!!!!! Crush the Irish!!!!!

I hope Lawson doesn’t have the yips. He almost single-handedly cost us the game.

Also, that home plate ump was straight up trash. I swear, Walsh had to throw about 8 strikes to earn that final K.

He got the K on a ball, though.

Not sure what was up with Cortland Lawson tonight. Definitely not his best game. And about 5,000 baserunners left in scoring position.

And agree with BDV about the home plate ump. So inconsistent...which seemed to be a theme all weekend. The called strike 3 to end the TN 6th was awful. (Though he made up for it by giving us the called strike 3 to end the game.)

That called strike in the 6th was by far the worst pitch call that the ump made all night, imo.
