Title: In the second half against their six SEC opponents, Post by: JeffCountyVolFan on November 13, 2023, 02:19:06 EST the Tennessee offense has scored 4 TDs.
I did not believe that stat when I read it on VQ until I went back and looked at the box scores. I have an opinion as to why we have been so bad after the half, but I will hang up and listen to your replies. 📞 Title: Re: In the second half against their six SEC opponents, Post by: FLVOL on November 13, 2023, 03:06:42 EST I'm convinced that more than USC knows the signs, and I think that Heupel knows that more than just USC knows their signs

Or just a total lack of skills Title: Re: In the second half against their six SEC opponents, Post by: Tnphil on November 13, 2023, 10:26:54 EST We go in with a game plan and when it gets blown up we are screwed. Did you see what Mizzou did to us the first half....did you see any adjustments to combat the second half? It happens a lot.

It happens a lot. What Mizzou did offensively or defensively in the first half? Although it was not enough, we hit no. 7 at the line quite a bit more in the second half. Some of them were really good hits. Like I said...it wasn't enough, but there was enough of an adjustment that we would have been in the game had our offense not shat the bed pretty much the entire game. Defense stayed on the field too much because they couldn't stop Mizzou...Which limited a lot of offensive plays. It wouldn't have mattered because we didn't scheme to hurt Mizzou. We ran into their brick wall time and time again. They whipped up on the LOS from start to finish and did nothing to counter that....not the first half and not the second half. Lol...Our guards got more work going east and west than they did north and south.
