No way....I thought Iowa had a shot with all that we lost to the portal, but come on....

I didn't realize until someone posted the article above that Firentz's son is the OC at Iowa, but is "moving on" after this season.  That explains a lot I think.

Actually his son was canned during the season as the OC...he stayed on as a token asst.

Interesting factoid I saw on twitter: Iowa?s starting QB to begin the season was Cade McNamara, who beat out Joe Milton for the Michigan job before himself getting beat out by JJ McCarthy and transferring to Iowa.

Yes true. They mention McNamara in the article above but I could not recall where he had played even though I recognized the name.

Didn't realize he had to sit at Michigan....very interesting
