Interestingly, Wisky is a bit better than UF statistically, but they did that mostly against B(pick your number) patsies. bammer has struggled to score against far worse defenses than Floridas. I predict a close game until well into the first half, with both teams struggling to score. Eventually bammer will wear them down, but I do think UF gives it the ole fight for a while. If bammer turns the ball over a bit...coker has been known to throw a few picks and even Henry has fumbled....it might well go down to the wire. But realistically the UF turnover ratio would have to be as good as what Ole Miss got and even then they might not win. Will be rooting for them to do so though.

Unless Florida has worked miracles this week on offense.....if Bama scores 14 the game is most likely over. Florida hasn't played a defense like Bama's either. And...been thinking all damn day. Stop a 4th and 14 and we are playing today

It's going according to script so far. Both offenses simply awful. Hopefully lame kiffin keeps trying to, for some bizzare reason, pass on first down. Florida almost got a fumble deep in bammer territory. Coker was very fortunate to recover that. A few more of those go floridy's way and it might be a ball game.

Its gone about the way I expected it to. A couple breaks by florida and one bust on pass coverage in bammers favor is about the only scoring.
If floridy can hold them on 4th and short here....

I worry about any Tennessee fan who is rooting for Florida to win today, considering this game's implications on our bowl bid.

bammer is the devil. They have to die, period. And fizzle that "pro sec" bs. I root for two teams. The Vols and whoever is playing bammer.

I could care less about whether the SEC has a team in the playoffs if it doesn't impact our team. But in this case it does. Significantly. Tampa on NYD against a ranked team or Nashville against a nobody.

I worry more about any TN fan that pulls for bammer under ANY circumstances.

So we should root for a team to win at the expense of our own team? Sure, that makes sense...I guess.

I root for whatever helps Tennessee the most. In this game that means an Alabama win.

You're about to get the message. Try running "Roll Tide" around in your head a few times and if you don't get violently ill then you got some issues. If we ain't going to the NC series then I don't care where we play our bowl game.

I understand some folks also don't like Floriduh and want them to lose more. No issues there. In fact, the good news is that Florida lost. Maybe it will hurt their recruiting, who knows.
I also understand the point about the bowl game, but it's a fairly minor point. Other than being in the final four, no one is going to give a crap what bowl we were in this coming fall. It will pretty much be forgotten.

That '96 Citrus Bowl vs. Ohio State, or the '02 Citrus Bowl vs. Michigan, those were just forgotten?

There was no playoff then the 2004/5 Cotton Bowl we played against Tamu was also memorable, and it was a lower bowl than we had hoped for The same could be said for the 2007/8 outback against wisky. the outback felt like a step down, but it was a great win for us The Vols going to a slightly worse bowl is a VERY SMALL price to pay to see bammer get it's head caved in. Not even close
