And I was like...huh?  Why?

Now I think maybe the AD had floated the idea here and there, just based on the nature of the rumors.   If so, they should have paid more attention to the reactions.

I think it was the Haslam doing.   Tennessee deserves better.

It's a smokescreen to make us happy with the eventual hire

For sure
A good outcome is the HoH falls from grace and power behind the thrown of Tennessee athletics
and take their puppet with them

I think it goes back at least 2 weeks.....IMO they wanted a coach that was a hard ass and believed in discipline and he is both and is MUCH NEEDED with this soft team. He would have been my 4th or 5th choice but I could have lived with it. And to be honest until all this cluster broke yesterday I didn't know he was at Penn State during those years.

Oh hell....Dooley's coming back!

He may have lifetime security.  Jerry Jones has apparently quit firing coaches.  I think he realizes he is the real problem but just keeps rolling in it.   That's okay, he can keep Dooley.

But if Jones gets religion again, and Dallas continues to lose and doesn't make the playoffs, what about Jason Garret?
