Some people think that they can get away with anything. Usually they do.

Hope they all go to jail.

I've only skimmed a couple articles, but isn't the legal, if more expensive way (possibly) just to give the school a bunch of money? It sure seems coincidental that generations of the same family get into elite ivy league schools. Some of them known to not be very good students.  Oh well.

Large donations work on down the line with public universities as well.

$250k bond for Felicity Huffman   Based on that bond amount she is in some deep shizzle.

Parents spent anywhere from $200,000 to $6.5 million to guarantee their children's admission

I don't care how much money I would have, paying $6.5 million to get my kid in a certain college is just bat shizzle crazy.

What is wrong with you people? What is the use of obtaining wealth if you can't use it? Only peasants would whine about things like this. That's not very Hallmarky Lori.

They will get away with it or get incredibly light sentences. Rich people like that usually do.

Even if I was filthy rich I wouldn't pay that kind of money to get my deadbeat child into college. Let them go to trade school and learn to be a carpenter or plumber. We need those. Or let them work at Waffle House.

(The above rant was made by a person with no children. But I stand by it)

Trade schools need to be where's it's at for kids that don't want to go to college or go to college to get some degree that's not going to get them anywhere.....My wife is a human resource manager here at a plant that has plants all over the planet. At my wife's plant they have to interview 50 to get 10 that is qualified or can pass the pre employment requirements. Last Summer they needed to bring in 22 to handle the Summer rush on contracts....They interviewed 110 to get 18 and within 3 months 6 of those 18 were fired for no call no shows or just quit.

Does she have any contacts/businesses in Rapid City? My girlfriend is looking for an HR position. The optometry clinic she works in is closing. Her BS degree is in psychology.

And here's Lori Laughlin's daughter admitting she only went to college for parties and gamedays. Now granted, there are lots of kids with this same attitude, but most them earned their way and didn't have their parents cheat to get rhem admitted, thus robbing a more deserving kid of the opportunity.

Everyone's acting so surprised that rank (and money) has it's privileges as has always been the case.
