This is the first regular season ND game I've watched in years. And that place has really changed.
I remember the last time ND came to Knoxville, reading their board the next day. And their high-horse fans were nearly unanimous in badmouthing the Neyland atmosphere, for everything from the Jumbotron to the ads around the stadium to the occasional piped-in music. A game at ND Stadium is a much more "authentic" experience, they said. They would
never stoop that low, they said. But as I watch this game right now, I see ND playing on artificial turf and wearing some garish alternate unis. I've heard "Crazy Train", "Seven Nation Army", and "Who Let The Dogs Out" played over the PA. They've even built a Jumbotron in the endzone that actually
blocks the view of Touchdown Jesus.Sometimes, life comes at you fast.
