another coach that people think is all that but it doesn't compute with on the field results.. What has he done? He beat Bama once with Johnny Football. But he has had quite a bit of talent that has underacheived. Sound familiar?

Since you are a champion of life, who would you hire? How many proven championship coaches are available, that would come? You are a troll, or a fool. I don't know & I don't care. Yes there are better programs now... Big fizzleing deal. You STINKIN champion!

I can tell ya this. KY & AL are the historical benchmarks. They've struggled at times too. Making THE hire. I absolutely think UT ought to spend more on the coach & less on facilities. Guess what? They dngaf what I think. Enjoy the ride Champ

I tell it like it is. Do you think the school got it's money's worth out of Jones? Why should he not be gone? You are one of the typical appologists that helps keep these bad coaches around longer than they should be. Same for the next coach. I don't care who it is, if they can't win the SECe in 5 years, they need to be replaced.

Yes, but it's an interesting point of comparison.  Sumlin did only slightly better than Jones, but who around the SEC did better than either of them over the last five years?

If you look around the SEC the last 5 years, overall UT is at least in the top half of the league.

I agree that 6th or 7th best in the SEC over the last 5 years is not acceptable.  But you make it sound like we were 14th five years running.
