Ugh.  Thus far, 2016 has been a banner year for cancer.  We gotta beat this demon.

I said a prayer for him, but the odds are not in his favor. At most, he has about 40% chance of survival over 5 yrs. And only if it has not or does not spread. I hope he can recover, but I doubt he ever will completely recover. It really depends on the type and location of the throat cancer and how healthy is is and can stay. I just have my doubts. I hope I am wrong and he survives and can work again. Everyone I have personally known that was diagnosed with cancer has died before 5 years after treatment. So maybe I am just a pessimist.
