Mike Miller's son plays for Creighton. Mike is from Mitchell, South Dakota. He was a famous high school player here. He went on to play for the Gators (puke) and was on a NC team at UF. He played in the NBA mostly for the Heat and won a title or two. He was NBA rookie of the year in 2001.  His son Mason is a good player as well. Creighton always seems to play "smart ball" with not a lot of flash but plenty of fundamentals. Hope he is "off" tonight. Mason is a tall 6'9" skinny kid, left handed I think. They will have to get on him if he is shooting 3's. Hope we can beat them soundly without any nail biters.

Hope he does okay. It took guts to endure the negative fan reaction to his play. He didn't quit. A lot of guys would have under the same circumstances. Hope he lights it up.

The program is in worse shape than Holly left it. If I recall, the Lady Vols were headed downward before Pat had to step down.

Jackson saved Kellies job for another year by coming back. She missed 8 games early due to injury and we looked like crap....but won enough to save Kellies job when she came back. Stop and think what we would have looked like this year without Jackson. Ugly.

Is saving Kellys job a good thing? We are not an elite program even in the SEC, much less in the country. Do we think Kelly is going to change that? How much more do we need to see? However Duke mens team hired an ex player and have done pretty well in the tourney since he was hired.. I still think they need to hire outside the Vol family. Everybody says, "but she learned from Pat". I haven't seen anything she learned from Pat on the court much since Kelly took over. Honestly.

I took some law classes at Creighton when I was stationed at Offutt Afb. It's a small Jesuit school, but they can put together some good teams. I remember their real good coach Dana Altman left for OREGON. it will be a tough matchup. Those white boys play smart.

No real Cinderellas left in the tourney now.

We are a different animal when the defense has to worry about him(and JJJ) when his shots are falling. Hope he keeps it going. If we get by Texas, Kansas is not as tough with McCullars out. Sucky time to get hurt, but next man up. Gonzaga may beat them though. We get by Texas we will play winner of Oregon vs  Creighton. We are in pretty good shape

So much of it is arbitrary now. I hate it.

The charge call has now become another to add to the list. DJ literally forcibly backs folks up 2 or 3 feet at a time by knocking them off their spot, yet a defender cannot even make glancing contact on an offensive player. The game has become completely about offense.

As a former coach, I also hate the replay rule inside of 2 minutes of each half. You teach kids that every play matters, yet with this rule it seems that the plays at the end matter much more. If they miss a call with 2:01 left in the half, it isn?t important enough to review. I would much prefer that they give a coach 2 replay reviews per half than to keep what they now use.

I could go on, but I will get off my soapbox now. Sorry for the rant.

Saw a crazy stat the Barnes is like 9-21 against the spread lately in the tourney and has a 25-26 record overall in the tourney. He is more than due to improve those less than exceptional stats.
