And an edit: I would love to be wrong, but it just doesn't make sense.
I could see it, given his love of the game. At the same time, I don't think he will, but he will be more available to come in as a consultant during the offseason. Not sure that's allowed during the season, but he could attend more games for sure and give informal help and I think he will at least do that. |

This is what I see him doing and what I believe he meant when he said that he would love to "coach" young guys one day. He does that with the Manning Passing Academy and he works with a lot of young guys, including coming back and throwing with UT's guys. I'm sure he would like to do more of that. On the other side of the coin, I don't see him giving up time with his kids - we all saw his son with him at the post game presser on Sunday - that he would have to give up if he became a college coach. It's not about money for him, so that drive isn't there. His kids are already provided for. I don't see Peyton doing anything that is going to take away time from that until his kids are raised. |
