Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Penn State, and Michigan quickly come to mind. Black jerseys are one thing, what some company has done to Georgia's helmet is something else. Wow.

droner is absolutely right. The players love it. It's a recruiting tool. I'm more of the mindset of not caring what my team wears as long as they play well and maintain the presence of Orange... then again I'm not curmudgeonly about anything besides Tyler Bray's hair. :dance: Title: Re: UGA & Nike unveil new UGA unis that will be worn against BSU Post by: Stogie Vol on August 21, 2011, 07:46:28 EDT It seems to me that these designers are thinking to themselves, "How radical can I be while maintaining a smidgen of previous design in order to have some resemblance to this team's traditional jersey?" rather than tweaking the traditional design. I don't like this thought pattern.
What I don't mind is the tweaking of design and the slight modifications that appear more as updates rather than a redesign. I also wouldn't mind special jersey's for special games. Of course, ultimately, I care about performance way more than the jerseys. My favorite, though, is orange top and white pants with orange stripes down the side. Black cleats. |
