The issue with me is that it wasn't a diving catch that the ball hit the ground in process of making the catch.....He caught the ball....tucked the ball....made a 'Football' move then dove for the goal line...the ball crossed the goal line and then the ball touched the ground as he went down after crossing the plane. If that had been a swing pass to a running back out of the backfield caught on the 10 and he ran and dove and the ball crosses the plane and hit the ground there is no way, IMO they don't call that a TD.

Dumbest rule ever. Unquestioned possession and control, ball clearly crosses the plane, it's a touchdown, idiots! The cynic in me says that if the teams were reversed, it would have been called a touchdown. Stupid, stupid rule. Fix it, NFL!
I read a good statement this morning.....If that had been a running back and the ball just touched the plane of the goal line and then fumbled, it would have been a TD.

When the game is on the line in any sport the players have to make plays......Just think back over the last few football seasons where we got beat by one possession where our players didn't make a play.

Austin Price posted that the VQ mods are hearing that there may be a snag with the Austin Thomas deal. They are presently trying to determine if he has a signed MOU at this point in time (Saturday evening).
Seen this on 3 different boards but nobody knows what the issue is. Makes no sense that he's left LSU and now there is some kind of issue here. Can UT ever do anything right? Maybe it's BS.

My wife is SW nut.....She's been telling me the last umpteen movies that this will be the last of them....Yeah right! Like Harry Potter it never ends and this Last Jedi won't be the last either. Guess I'll have to take her to see this one....Is this the first before the first or the last of the first which was 4-5-6 which was really before 1-2-3? Rant over

Word I've seen is Helton wasn't too high on Martz? Needs a good QB in this class....maybe 2. Hard to tell what we've got in the 3 that played this season with the lack of OL play....They all 3 spent most of their time running for their lives.

Reading from some folks that have kids involved in the same HS program or know the situation they feel the chances are slim. He has decided he wants to get away from home and I've read his Dad likes to coach him from the stands. I have no idea if true but more than one has said that. Also read he needs quite a bit of development and he's not a Trey Smith type that's ready to step in and play.
That being said I hope Pruitt can change his mind....We've had too much local/area talent bypass Knoxville the last few years.

We use to shop at the Service Merchandise here in West Tn. a lot.....It was first a Montgomery Wards and when they went out SM moved in and stayed in business for several years. IIRC it went out of business in the mid 90's and the building has sat empty since it close. Thinking back it was a odd way to shop......look at the items on the shelves...write the item number down on a form on a clipboard....Go pay for it and then go to the receiving belt and stand there with all the other folks like people standing and watching the monkey's at the zoo waiting for your box to come down the belt. When they were getting ready to go out of business here they allowed folks to go in and by the stuff right off the shelves like you would at Wal Mart....the place was packed every day until they closed the doors. What a novel idea letting people pick it off the shelves and go pay for it without the 3rd step in the process.
