I know I've been absent from VTTW for a long, long time, but thanks to an email from a "hacked" Pirate, here I am.  Perhaps some of you will remember me as I hope to "rejoin" this wonderful group going forward!

Anyway, Congrats, Droner!  I did the same thing, quit working Fridays for the last half of last year, and then retired at the end of the year.  I have stayed on the payroll as a  Consultant, which I am limiting to mostly phone calls and emails, and I am really enjoying my "freedom"!  So, once again, Congrats and Enjoy!

Well, I'm probably with BDV when it comes to experience and price points, but I just finished a bottle of Apothic Dark, and really enjoyed it.  At the local Ingles, it was on sale at about $11, so I may go back a get a couple more!

One of my favorite things to do.  We try to go at least a couple of times per year, usually summer and fall.  It is a challenge dodging the bikers while trying to have your own fun!

For years we all lamented about playing the Gators early in the season.  Wanted to move that game to later in the year, so as we improved we would be ready.  Well, I'm glad we're not playing them now!  I'm finding it much harder not to be critical of the entire staff.  From S&C down to play calling, there is something seriously wrong.  Is there a player on the team that we can say has really been "coached up"?  It's very frustrating to watch other teams roll out freshman QBs, or any other skill position for that matter, and watch them play with confidence and poise, and then watch our veteran team look like they've never played before.  Last night is not just unacceptable, it's unbelievable!   Sorry for the rant....but it feels good to let it out.

Trying to get a feel for the place again.  A few things (and posters) have changed since I was a "semi-regular". 

 

I agree, OJ.  One of the most entertaining F1 races I've watched.  Looking forward to the rest of their season.  By the way, we went to Daytona for the Rolex 24 this past January!  Had a blast!

Before the season started, wasn't there some speculation that he was somehow taking some advice from JayZ?  Of course USC downplayed it, but now it appears that he is listening to someone outside the program.

She is adorable!!!  Was she named after the Game of Thrones character?   

Thanks for the kind words, Scott.  I happen to agree with you!  Actually, Erin (my daughter, you may remember we discussed her once on the phone!) named her for the Opera term.  One can only wonder if she will be as musically inclined as her mother!

After a number of years of watching "pretenders", I feel that we've finally landed a coach that has the passion and drive needed to get the job done.  If he is acting, he should win every award that's out there!  He has me bought in all the way.  Go Butch, and Go Vols!  The future looks brighter that I've seen in quite a while!
