I hope it isn't true for obvious reasons.

I would not be that surprised if it were true though. Anyone who can do what he did would not care to do this either.

Nor would I. Anybody who would molest children and set up a foundation to target children could certainly pimp them out.

What bothered me about the story is that it is a RUMOUR from a Journalist that has been investigating this for six months.  The article states that the Radio Station or TV Station ran with it since this journalist had been covering this for six months and so he was a credible source that this RUMOUR is TRUE.  While I think Sandusky is the lowset form of life on this planet, the journalist is also pandering to the basest things and getting his name out there to create pub for himself by repeating a RUMOUR.  That is innuendo plain and simple and is not established as a fact.

That according to what I remember from my studies in journalism class is IRRESPONSIBLE behavior on the part of the journalist.  In fact my journalism teacher back in high school would have fried me in oil on 375 degrees farenheit if I had reported a RUMOUR like this.  For example this article is akin to John Adams posting a column on KNS and stating that Bruce Pearl was dating a 21 year old woman.  It might or might not be true but the story gets thrown out there.....sixteen outlets pick it up and suddenly Bruce Pearl is nwo in a divorce with his current wife due to some report that he is dating a 21 year old woman.  That to me is inexcuseable journalism regardless of the validity of the story.  If it is not a fact just a rumour in this case the journalist needs to shut up and confirm before putting this kind of stuff out there.

Irregardless of this yes Sandusky deserves whatever punishment that society decides to dole out if he is guilty as charged (and from the preponderence of the evidence there is something that was going on besides someone trying to help at risk children) then he needs to be placed in the general pop of his local institutuion of higher jail time.  BTW Jails are notorious for dealing very harshly with Child Molesters and Child Pornographers.

Just my humble opinion is this day and age....

This whole thing makes me sick...and Penn State should be cleaning house from the top to the bottom...period.   I don't care who you are, or what position you are in.....if a witness saw this man sodomizing a child, the police should have been called RIGHT THEN!  Anyone that knew of this and di not call the police need to be FIRED immediately....and I heard this morning, they may all be guilty of federal crime by not reporting to police.  I am SICK over all this -- If this were my child, it would be very difficult for me not to take a gun and blow away this man...and all those that protected him while my child was viticimized -- and never for 1 day feel guilty.

There are a lot of dirty hands in law enforcement and university administration. I'm just hoping everyone who is part of the problem is found. There's no way a prominent guy lives in a small town, does stuff like this and no one knows.

I'm calling bull on that. Dude had no self-control so people had to pick up on the things he did - and I'm not even talking about 1998. The trail has to start far earlier than that. I don't think 55 year-olds (Sandusky's age in '98?) just wake up and start doing what he did.

I agree. We are going to be hearing about a lot more victims IMHO.

Don't forget that the DA from the 1998 allegation that was passed over by his office   has been missing since 2005 and was declared dead this summer. No body ever found. His laptop was found, but no hard drive.  Not saying it is related, but wouldn't be that far of a stretch.
