I got locked in a week ago Saturday with my new Razr Max.

This change will save us money. Perhaps we have been over paying with CObh's company "discount" but we can get the 10Gb package-- more than double what we have ever used-- for the same price as our current package. More likely we will get the 4 Gb or 6 Gb and save $20-30 per month.

If you use VZW data on multiple devices, it'll help. If you are a 1-device data user who is still grandfathered in on the unlimited data plan, it'll hurt (though VZW had already announced a month or so ago that grandfathered customers would be asked to move to a tiered data plan when upgrading to a 4G device).

Regarding these shared data plans, $10/gig is the early standard in this game, but $50 for the first gig? I'm still trying to wrap my mind around that one.
