Title: Oh, good grief....... Post by: droner on November 21, 2017, 03:25:32 EST David Cutcliffe is a fine man and did a lot for the Vols. But surely he isn't the best choice for the next UT head football coach.
I realize that rumors are rumors. But I have to ask: Currie isn't going to screw this up is he? http://www.rockytopinsider.com/2017/11/20/report-gruden-not-candidate-leach-cutcliffe/ (http://www.rockytopinsider.com/2017/11/20/report-gruden-not-candidate-leach-cutcliffe/) Title: Re: Oh, good grief....... Title: Re: Oh, good grief....... Post by: murfvol on November 21, 2017, 05:33:22 EST Love Cut, but don't want him. He's not a recruiter.
Title: Re: Oh, good grief....... Post by: BanditVol on November 21, 2017, 10:17:57 EST Would have been a better choice in 2012, but we need a bigger splash now. Would probably improve on what Butch did, but not enough.
Title: Re: Oh, good grief....... Post by: HerbTarlekVol on November 21, 2017, 06:35:39 EST Coach Cut was a tremendous OC for us, but as a head coaching candidate at this point in his career he is down there with Schaino (sp?) on the list.
That said, if they would have brought him in when Dooley was fired the program would be a lot better off, but not at this point. Title: Re: Oh, good grief....... Post by: volsboy on November 21, 2017, 07:04:31 EST Jim Bob Cooter where are you?...lol. Probably just as viable a candidate as the ones they look at. Which is scary. Just hire someone already. It's a crap shoot regardless. Those buyouts get expensive though. When did buyouts become a thing? Sucks to have to reward someone for failing to produce.
